Asian Association of Social Psychology |

Approved by the Asian Association of Social Psychology (AASP), the Small-scale Group Meeting of Wisdom Psychology is going to be held from October 27 to 28, 2018 at Nanjing Normal University (No.122 Ninghai Road, Gulou District, Nanjing, China). The meeting is co-hosted by the School of Psychology, Nanjing Normal University and the Institute of Moral Education Research (the key research center of Humanities & Social Science of Chinese Ministry of Education), Nanjing Normal University. The meeting is inviting experts from China and other countries to share the latest researches (with each other). The Organizing Committee warmly welcomes experts, scholars and postgraduates in wisdom psychology and related disciplines to attend the meeting.

Keynote Speakers

Michel Ferrari

Dr. Michel Ferrari is a professor at the Department of Applied Psychology and Human Development at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), University of Toronto. As Director of the Wisdom and Identity Lab, he explores the meaning of personal wisdom in people at different ages (from children to the elderly) from different nations. He has edited or co-edited 11 books and is currently leading a study that explores the relationship between wisdom and acculturation of Islamic immigrants and refugees in Canada; in applied practice, he and his students are studying the experience of wisdom in emerging adults with Autism.

Yanjie Su

Prof. Yanjie Su, School of Psychological and Cognitive Sciences, and Vice Dean of Yuanpei College, Peking University, China. Her researches primarily focus on the emergence and development of theory of mind as well as the relationship among social behavior, social cognition and executive control. She has studied behavior and comparative cognition in a variety of species of birds and primates besides human children. She is also an associate editor of “Psychological Science” (in Chinese), and the General Secretary of Beijing Psychological Society.

Jing Luo

Prof. Jing Luo, School of Psychology, Capital Normal University. His research interest is in exploringthe psychological principles of insight and creative thinking using behavioral and cognitive neuroscience methods. He is a doctoral tutor and a director of Beijing Key Laboratory of Cognition and Learning. He is also an Associate Editor-in-Chief of “Advances in Psychological Science” (in Chinese), and the General Secretary of Chinese Psychological Society.

Fengyan Wang

Prof. Fengyan Wang, School of Psychology, Nanjing Normal University. He is a doctoral tutor and vice director of the Institute of Moral Education Research (the key research center of Humanities & Social Science of Chinese Ministry of Education), Nanjing Normal University. He is in the second level of training for the “333 High-level Talent Cultivation Project”, Jiangsu province. He is also a council member of Chinese Association of Social Psychology and Chinese Academy for Moral Education. His researches focus on Chinese cultural psychology and wisdom psychology.

Young Scholar Academic Award

A Young Scholar Academic Award is set up for researchers under the age of 40 (born after January 1^st, 1978). Authors applying for this honor are required to send the full text of their research reports to fywangjx8069@163.combefore September 30, 2018.

The meeting accepts original Chinese and English papers that have neither been published in domestic or foreign academic journals nor reported at domestic or international academic conferences. Paper format requirements: Title, Author(s), Institution(s), Author’s profile (please provide e-mail address), Chinese and English abstract (English abstract alone if the paper is written in English ), Main text, and Reference. File format is word document with the APA format for the manuscript. The full text of the proceedings will not be published and will not affect the contributors’ submission in the future.

Registration Fee

No registrationfee is charged for this meeting. Each participant will be provided with free lunches during October 27-28 (2 box lunches in total). There are free tea breaks in the morning and afternoon during the meeting (a total of 4 tea breaks). Each participant will also be provided with one copy of the meeting materials free of charge.

Participants are required to pay their own transportation fee to and from Nanjing, accommodation and meals expenses during the meeting (except for lunches during October 27-28).

Nanjing Lukou Airport metrio

If you are flying to Nanjing Lukou Airport, you can choose to go to Nanjing Normal University by metro. At Nanjing Lukou Airport Station, please first take the metro line S1 to Nanjing South Railway Station;then take the subway line 1 from there, and get off at Zhujiang Road Station and leave the station through Exit 1; after walking about 10 meters to the right along the road, take bus No. 6 or No. 91 from Guangzhou Road • Zhongshan Road Bus Station, and get off at the second stop at Suijiacang Station; finally, after getting off the bus, turn right and walk about 300 meters to Gate 3 of Nanjing Normal University, where you will see Nanjing Jingshilou Hotel nearby; enter Nanjing normal University, and go ahead about 200 meters, and you will see the Nanshan Expert Building Hotel. The subway fare is about RMB 8 yuan, and the bus fare is RMB 2 yuan (one yuan coins or paper banknotes/bills need to be prepared in advance, because no change is available on the bus), and the total fare is about 10 yuan.

If you are taking the high-speed train to Nanjing South Railway Station, you can choose to go to Nanjing Normal University by metro. The most convenient route is presented below:

Take the metro line 1 at Nanjing South Railway Station, and get off at Zhujiang Road Station. Walk out of Zhujiang Road Station through Exit 1.
