Background

Shige Oishi is a professor of psychology at Columbia University. He has written two books, one in Japanese “幸せを科学する” (“Doing the science of happiness” published in 2009 from Shinyosha) and one in English “The psychological wealth of nations: Do happy people make a happy society?” published in 2012 from Wiley. He is the winner of the Career Trajectory Award from the Society of Experimental Social Psychology in 2017 and the Diener Award from the Society for Personality and Social Psychology in 2018.
