Psychology and Asian Societies in the midst of change

The Asian Association of Social Psychology in cooperation with the Psychological Association of the Philippines and the University of San Carlos, invite you to submit proposals for presentations to its 2015 Convention with the theme “Psychology and Asian Societies in the Midst of Change.”

We are inviting the  following types of presentations:

Paper Presentation. This refers to individual papers on a research study or documentation of psychological practice. These presentations will be clustered into a maximum of four papers per session (about 15 minutes per presentation) based on a common theme. To facilitate the grouping into clusters, please take care in providing relevant key words in your abstract submission. For presentations with multiple authors, kindly designate a main or primary presenter. 

Organized Symposium. A symposium refers to a set of four different presentations (about 15 minutes per presentation) that cluster around a common topic, issue or subject matter with the aim of providing complementary or divergent views and perspectives. To foster inter-institutional collaboration, it is encouraged that presenters in the symposium come from at least two different institutions. Preference will be given for symposium featuring participants from different countries. Organizers have the right to not accept all the papers in the symposia or re-organize a symposium should the need arises.

Poster Presentation. Posters involve the use of a visual aid to illustrate a study. Presenters are expected to talk about their research during their assigned schedules. Guidelines for the poster size and content will be given to accepted papers.

Learning Session. Learning sessions aim to teach participants specific knowledge or skills pertaining to current trends, teaching, practice and/or research and publication in Psychology. Sessions are typically an hour and a half hour long and should be able to accommodate as many as 100 participants. Abstracts should indicate specific learning objectives and content.

Presentations titles should not be more than 12 words.

Abstracts should be a maximum of 300 words.

Deadline for Abstract Submission is December 30, 2014.

Submission of an abstract implies the commitment that the presenting author will be available between August 20 – 22, 2015 and the financial resources to register for the conference.

Abstracts will be evaluated and screened by the Scientific Program Committee.

Please be reminded that if you have more than one submission as primary presenter, only the earlier submission will be prioritized for screening.
