High-quality social psychology scholarship published in languages other than English often remains underrecognized internationally. This special issue brings such “hidden gems” to a wider audience by presenting English-language extended summaries of significant classic and contemporary works originally published in Chinese, Korean, or Japanese, accompanied by statements explaining their scholarly and social significance. The Special Issue will serve as a pilot for a scalable and sustainable model for advancing language equity in scholarly publishing, combining machine translation tools with human review and revision. In doing so, it seeks to reduce linguistic barriers and broaden the ideas, evidence, and perspectives that shape global social psychology.
Proposals should consist of three components:
- Significance statement (500 – 1,000 words)
- Extended summary (2,000 – 3,000 words)
- Complete citation information of the original work(s).
Please find details in the attachment (English) and in Chinese, Korean and Japanese on the Asian Journal of Social Psychology’s website, https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal/1467839X
Please submit proposals through the normal AJSP author submission portal by January 15, 2027.
