When I was a biology major at Chinese University of Hong Kong, I was immensely intrigued and inspired by the social and cross-cultural psychology courses that I took from Michael Bond. Upon graduation, I went to University of Illinois for my Ph.D. in social and organizational psychology, working primarily with Harry Triandis, Allan Lind, and Sam Komorita. I am currently a professor of management at City University of Hong Kong.
I am a deputy editor-in-chief of Management and Organization Review, and formerly the editor of Asian Journal of Social Psychology, a deputy-editor-in-chief of Journal of International Business Studies, an associate editor of Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology and Asia Pacific Journal of Management. I am on the editorial board of a number of journals, including Asian Journal of Social Psychology, Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology, Journal of Management, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes.
I am the president of International Association for Cross-Cultural Psychology, a former Chair of the Research Methods Division of the Academy of Management, and a former president of Asian Association of Social Psychology.
