Major Research Interests

Personality: Originating and formulating the Chinese Personality Assessment Inventory (CPAI) which includes some indigenous personality constructs; adapting and standardizing the Chinese MMPI-2; exploring the fitness of the "BIG FIVE" model with Chinese people; adapting the Chinese General Self-Efficacy Scale.

Social Psychology: Distinguishing the concepts of general trust from that of specific trust, and demonstrating that specific (target-based) trust plays more important roles in Chinese interpersonal behavior.

Mental Health of Adolescence in mainland China.
